Andrea K. Grist Flower Adventures-Virginia

My flower adventures have taken me to some amazing places all around the country.  This time I found myself in the beautiful state of Virginia working with Holly Chapple Flowers at her beautiful new farm, Hope Flower Farm.

This year was the first year for what will be their annual holiday festival. Days  were spent creating holiday centerpieces, wreaths, stringing lights and hanging fresh garland.

Chapel Designers came from all around including, Connecticut, Maryland, Texas, New York, Tennessee, and myself from Missouri. Local artisans brought beautifully made pottery, furniture, ornaments, holiday cards, jewelry, and yummy treats. Beautiful weather and a great team made this an amazing trip and I can’t wait to go back.

And, with my goal of seeing things that I haven’t seen, I took the side trip to the Jefferson Memorial.  This was not my first trip to the D.C. area but it was my first to the memorial and I got to spend a bit of time enjoying a beautiful afternoon before heading home.
